We start our cultural tour in Berlin on Saturday 24 June, 2023. 3 days of shooting, visiting galleries and museums, exploring the city and hearing from locals on locations to photograph. Our focus is on the iconic buildings and streets - the East and the West, the history and the transformation of one of Europe’s most iconic cities.

Sunday 25 June Berlin Walking/shooting tour and street photography workshop (West Berlin)
Monday 26 June East Berlin & the Stasi Museum. Consultations and evening lecture
Tuesday 27 June Galleries and museums, city walks and gallery talks
Wednesday 28 June Travel to Paris (by fast train)
Paris - Wed. 28 June to Sun. 2 July 2023
Paris! Romance, art, fashion and food (as well as an edgy underground history of activism and anarchy), we explore Paris through photography’s cultural and philosophical history, as well as ways in which contemporary photographers reflect on issues of our times. Oh, and of course some amazing dinners and wine tasting sessions.
Wednesday 28 June (pm) Afternoon rest followed by dinner at a local restaurant (and optional wine tasking)
Thursday 29 June Gallery tour in the morning, review of work after lunch followed by an evening lecture on French philosophy and photography (3 texts by Shane paired with 3 wines by Bronek)
Friday 30 June Galleries and historical sites / locations
Saturday 1 July Street photography shooting day (wear comfortable shoes!)
Sunday 2 July A free day to explore Paris; shopping, The Louvre, Musee de’Orsay, Tour Eiffel +
Monday 3 July Travel to Arles by Train (the French countryside at 200km/h!)
Arles - Mon. 3 July to Friday 7 July
The Rencontres le’Arles (Arles Photography Festival) is our final destination. Situated in the beautiful southern region of France, Arles is a city of ancient history, cobblestone laneways and a vibrant festival culture. Vincent Van Gogh moved here for the light, colour and harmony of the country - something we explore through our photographic tours and workshops.
