Berlin+Paris+Arles

Late June to early July

Berlin, Germany

Our focus in Berlin is contemporary creative practices and photography. Photography workshops include street photography, surveillance (& sousveillance), as well as ways to visually explore a city in transition. The East and the West may be merged, but the remants of the cold war remain.

Paris, France

Our focus in Paris is history, romance and culture. Historical sites (complemented by contemporary exhibitions and galleries) provide a backdrop to meander through Parisian streets capturing the history and life of one of Europe’s most famous cities.

Arles, Southern France

Our final location is the southern French city of Arles, and the 2023 Rencontres le’Arles (a contemporary festival of photography). City walking tours, exhibitions by leading photographers, photobook events, speakers, workshops, portfolio reviews, cafes and more.

Commencing in Berlin, Germany

Beijing, China

Famous landmarks, a Forbidden City, Beijing is steeped in history and culture, the autumn light in Beijing offers a variety of locations and subjects to satisfy our curiosity. Beyond the city centre are the markets, gardens and everyday streetlife that Bejing is famous for. The Great Wall of China is only a short day trip away.

Pingyao, China

Our final location is the ancient city of Pingyao for the International Photography Festival. One of the last remaining walled cities in China, Pingyao is breathtaking as a location for photography. Walk the walls, witness living history and explore galleries with 1000s of photographs.
